Whether you are already in China or coming from abroad, visting Jiangsu is very easy. Not only is it well connected, once you're here, many of the most appealing towns are only a couple of hours apart. In Jiangsu, you spend your time seeing the sights, not in transit! From Overseas Coming from overseas, there are daily flights to Nanjing from Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia. Another option is to fly into Shanghai, and take a quick bus ride into Suzhou - its less than an hour away!
From Shanghai Its very easy to get to Jiangsu from Shanghai - its only a short trip, and trains and buses run almost around the clock. Some workers even do a daily commute between the two!
From Beijing Jiangsu is well connected to Beijing. There daily flights to and from Nanjing, which generally cost around RMB1220. Sleeper trains to Beijing are another convenient option. Trains leave Nanjing daily at 9:00PM, arriving in Beijing the next morning around 8:00, giving you a full day in each city...
From Xi'an Its easy to add some time in Jiangsu to your itinerary in China if you're coming from Xi'an. Daily flights leave from Xi'an to Nanjing, and also to Shanghai, where its very easy to connect to Suzhou. Sleeper trains also run regularly to both Nanjing and Shanghai.
From Guangzhou Coming from Guangzhou it's very easy to visit Jiangsu. Several flights leave daily from Guangzhou to Nanjing and even more to Shanghai, which is only 40 minutes from Suzhou.
From Guilin If you've been visiting the amazing landscapes of Guilin, there are daily flights from Guilin to both Nanjing and Shanghai.
From Other cities If you want to connect a visit to the Three Gorges with a trip to Jiangsu, there are several convenient options. There are daily flights from both Chongqing and Wuhan to Nanjing and Shanghai, and overnight trains run from both cities to Nanjing.
From Hong Kong Coming from Hong Kong, there are daily flights to both Nanjing and Shanghai. If you have more time and want to see more of China's landscape, an excellent and reasonably fast daily train also from Kowloon in Hong Kong direct to the Shanghai railway station, where you can pick up connecting trains to Jiangsu. |
